In a turnaround, the African National Congress took Ward 10, Seshego from The Economic Freedom Fighters in a recent By-Election. The ANC’s candidate Willie Madikoto is now the new councillor after the arrest and resignation of EFF’s Jacob Seshoka. The EFF now only controls three wards in Polokwane Municipality namely 13, 26 and 37. The ANC still has an overwhelming majority controlling 37 wards, the Democratic Alliance with four wards, the EFF trailing with only three wards in Julius Malema’s home town.
